All sportsbooks and operators featured on Gamble Colorado are licensed to operate in the state by the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission. We do not recommend you bet using an offshore sportsbook like bovada, betonline, or mybookie.

Below are the online sportsbooks we expect to see go live in the state within the next few months

On November 5, 2019, Proposition DD was narrowly passed, which allowed legislators to enact sports betting legislation. Bill HB19-1327 was approved to authorize legal sports betting in Colorado subject to some terms and conditions being met. Those conditions included factors such as the tax on sports betting, regulations, and the number of licenses to be issued.
Once everything was agreed, legal CO sports betting began on May 1, 2020. This followed the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission giving their approval for 31 licenses ranging from distributor licenses to master and vendor licenses.
The law states that sports betting can only occur in casinos that hold a license in Black Hawk, Central City, and Cripple Creek, however, it allows them to offer mobile and online sports betting. There are still some issues to be ironed out with the industry being new to CO, but anyone over the age of 21 can place sports bets at retail sportsbooks and Colorado betting apps.
Any Colorado sportsbook which is trying to get a license needs to go through the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission. They are in charge of issuing licenses and are expected to issue a lot more in the coming months.
Ahead of the launch of online sportsbooks in Colorado, retail casinos were forming partnerships with operators. For example, DraftKings and Fanduel agreed to a partnership with Twin River, Double Eagle Hotel & Casino joined forces with PointsBet, and Saratoga Casino Black Hawk teamed up with Betfred.
Twin River has a significant presence in Colorado after purchasing the Golden Gates, Mardi Gras, and Golden Gulch Casinos. Not all CO casinos have sports betting in place, Red Hawk casino for example does not offer sports betting.
Opening an online sport betting account is straightforward. Some sportsbooks you will be able to access through your web browser, while others will require you to download an app to your mobile device. The apps will be available for both iOS and Android devices. If you would prefer to bet on the go, you will need to download the app.
Some sportsbooks provide top-quality sports betting apps, such as the FanDuel Sportsbook app and the DraftKings Sportsbook app. Both also offer the option to access their sports betting options through a PC/laptop.
If using a mobile, when you have downloaded the app, all you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions to register for an account. You must check that the site you are downloading the app from is licensed and regulated. You will be able to tell which ones are licensed as they will display The Colorado Division of Gaming logo.
Before registering, you will need to provide some details, such as your name, address, and date of birth. Additionally, you will need to verify your details before proceeding. Once that has been done, you can make your first deposit and start your sports betting experience.
Most gambling sites like to reward their loyal customers by offering loyalty schemes, betting bonuses, or reward programs, and online gambling Colorado sites are no different. If you are new to the betting world, you may not initially realize all the benefits of joining a loyalty scheme can bring. Players can earn real cash and should look into them when joining a sportsbook.
Operators create loyalty schemes to ensure their customers don’t leave them and join another book. The prizes will differ depending on what operator you are using. A typical VIP loyalty program will offer benefits such as free bets, comp tickets, or discounts for merchandise in their online stores. Not every sportsbook will have a rewards program, but if you have signed up for what that does, it is worth checking what benefits are on offer.
Now, sports betting is legal in Colorado; some of the industry’s giants have launched online sportsbooks. Since May 1 these sports betting brands have teamed up with casinos to bring betting action to the Centennial State.
The above sportsbooks are the ones we know of who are either already live or are intending to be live with sports betting sites in Colorado. Newcomers such as the Sports Illustrated sportsbook and bet365 are already making a splash.
The sports betting law in Colorado allows you to bet on everything except high school sports, proposition bets on college games, and e-sports. There is no specific list of authorized sports to bet on in Colorado, so everything else is legal.
As you would expect, the significant markets for Colorado sports bettors will be NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB. All retail and online sportsbooks will offer markets on these sports. Furthermore, there will be sports betting options for international competitions in soccer, golf, MMA, boxing, and tennis. Each operator will have their own list of sports.
Those who are new to sports betting in Colorado will have numerous options presented to them, and it can be challenging to know what each means. There are several terms and phrases that are unique to the sports betting world. Odds themselves can seem confusing to beginners.
Here is a breakdown of some of the most popular sports bets you will find in Colorado:
Moneyline
Let’s start with the most basic form of betting. A moneyline bet is you merely placing a bet on which team you think will win.
Parlays
A parlay is an accumulation of bets, where the potential winnings increase if all legs of the parlay win. So if you bet on five football matches, all must-win for you to win your bet. These are fun as you can potentially get a big payday from a small outlay.
Teasers
A teaser gives you the opportunity to combine bets on two different games. A player can typically adjust the point spreads for each game; however, this will mean a lower return on the bet.
Proposition Bets
Otherwise known as ‘prop bets,’ this type of bet allows bettors to bet on a variety of different possible events in a game. A standard prop bet would be selecting the next player you think would score three points in an NBA match or the next TD in a football match.
Futures
Futures bets are wagers where the bettor tries to predict the outcome of competitions. For example, you can bet on who you think will win the Super Bowl before the regular season even begins. The potential payouts on futures bets are enormous as lots of things can change during a season.
Over-Under
This gives players the chance to predict the score of both teams added together. The operator will have a set line, and the bettor goes for either the over or under.
Point Spreads
A point spread bet is one of the most common sports bets you will find. A spread bet is essentially a wager on the estimated margin of victory for a specific game. The sportsbook will establish the margin of victory that it expects a game to have. The margin will then be used to predict the winner and loser of the game.
Live or ‘in-play’ betting has grown massively in the last ten years. These bets are made once the action is underway, and the odds change depending on what is happening during the game. It gives players a second chance if the game starts, and it looks like their bet will not win. Live betting adds more excitement as you can watch the game, knowing you have money riding on it and can react to what is happening.
Live betting tends to be more prevalent when playing on a mobile device. As the odds and data change rapidly, the technology of the latest apps can support that.
There are several popular Colorado state teams that are attract betting interest from locals. In the NFL, you have the Denver Broncos, who made a massive trade in the summer to bring in Quarterback Russell Wilson in the hopes of winning the Super Bowl. In the NBA you have the Denver Nuggets, while you have the Colorado Rockies in the MBL and the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL.
The competition in the Colorado online sports betting market is fierce. Consequently, each Sportsbook Colorado site is vying to sign up new players by offering attractive welcome bonuses. That is good news if you are a Colorado bettor, as each CO sportsbook has to go the extra mile to win your custom. Some of the best bonuses you will discover on a Colorado sports betting app include:
The best way to ensure you get instant access to some free money is to sign up to your sportsbook of choice using our exclusive links. You will be up and running within minutes as it doesn’t take long to take advantage of these bonus offers.
For any free bets, the rules are straightforward. Once your account has been created and verified, free funds will be added to your account to play with. Any bonus bets will require a minimum deposit, and the cash that gets refunded is not eligible for withdrawal. Instead, all players must bet the funds on wagers that meet certain conditions. However, any money made from those subsequent wagers can be withdrawn.
Making a deposit at any online sportsbook in Colorado should be a breeze. You will need to find the cashier section of the website where they will list all of the payment options available to you. A lot of CO sportsbooks will offer deposit bonuses as well, so keep an eye out for those.
The most common range of deposit options at online sportsbooks include:
When it comes to making a withdrawal, most operators will offer the same methods as they do for deposits. However, please note that if you use PayNearMe to deposit, you will need to select a different method to withdraw. The payment options will vary depending on which sportsbook you use. As Colorado sports betting is still in its infancy, not all methods will be available, but operators will increase their options as time passes.
There is a 10% sports betting tax that goes to the Colorado Water Plan and comes from the casinos. This tax is paid out of revenue generated and not from customers.
