SuperBook ready for CO retail launch

The SuperBook is coming to the state of Colorado, and this will be the first time that it is offered outside of the state of Nevada.

The launch is set for June 25 at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.

In late December, the SuperBook sports betting app launched in Colorado, but this new retail sportsbook could change the industry in the Centennial State. WestGate is the parent company that runs the SuperBook, a staple in the Las Vegas sports betting scene.

Jay Kornegay is the Executive Vice President at WestGate, and he is a native of the state of Colorado. He has been targeting a launch in his home state for more than a year, and plans have finally come together.

Rumors of this launch have been around for over a year, and the Lodge has been anxiously awaiting the opening of the SuperBook. Black Hawk, Colorado will also get a huge boost when this opens up later this week.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for noon on June 25, and a number of big personalities are scheduled to attend. Mark Schlereth is expected to be a guest of honor, and he could ultimately be the person that makes the first wager.

Anyone wanting to visit the SuperBook at the Lodge can find it on the second floor next to the gaming area. Masks will not be required at the new location, but they are encouraged for patrons that are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The SuperBook is known for its NFL contests and promotions each year, where customers can win prizes worth more than $1 million. These contests will be offered in Colorado now as well, but this sportsbook will bring many new and exciting options to sports bettors.

A Look at the New SuperBook

When the new SuperBook officially launches, it won’t come fully furnished, and the COVID-19 pandemic is to blame for that. The original plan called for the SuperBook construction to begin months ago, but groundbreaking didn’t happen until the Spring.

Customers that visit the SuperBook should be prepared for an experience unlike any other in Colorado, and this will likely become the top retail sportsbook in the state. Retail sports betting has continued to produce limited results since May 2020, but that could change soon.

This will be a fully-equipped sports bar, and there will also be a handful of poker machines on-site. There will be three betting windows available for bettors, which should be able to handle all of the action.

The full capacity of the new SuperBook is right around 400, and there will be numerous dining options available. This will be an experience to what takes place on the Las Vegas Strip as opposed to at other retail sportsbooks in Colorado.

Some of the top-end furniture is not expected to be delivered by the launch date, but upgrades will continue to happen over the next few weeks. If customers simply want to handle their own betting, there will be five betting kiosks set up at the new SuperBook.
