Pac-12 Conference Releases 2020 Football Schedule
The Pac-12 Conference initially postponed all 2020 athletics until January 2021 in August, but that decision has been contested in recent weeks.
The Pac-12 was following the lead from the Big Ten Conference, but the Big Ten has decided to resume sporting events this fall.
Earlier in September, the Pac-12 announced that it would go ahead with college football this fall, but the schedule would be much smaller than in recent years. The league hopes to give its student-athletes a chance to play this fall and compete for a College Football Playoff spot.
The Pac-12 Conference has announced that games will begin on Nov. 7, and the league championship game is slated for Dec. 18. Playing the Pac-12 Championship Game on Dec. 18 will give the College Football Playoff committee an opportunity to select the Pac-12 champion.
Each team will play five divisional games as well as one game against a team from the other division. The seventh and final game of the season will feature teams from each division matched up with one another based on seeding.
The Pac-12 Conference is full of rivalry games, and the league will once again allow for those games to take place. The rivalry games in the North Division will take place in Week 4 while the South Division rivalry games will take place in Week 6.
The current schedule will feature eight games played on Friday nights, with the rest of the schedule taking place on Saturdays. There is no room in the schedule for adjustments, and the league is hoping that the ongoing pandemic will not force any games to be postponed.
Colorado Buffaloes 2020 Schedule
The Colorado Buffaloes now have their third Pac-12 Conference schedule of the 2020 season, and this edition is not easy. Colorado will begin the 2020 regular season with a home game against the UCLA Bruins, and the final scheduled game will be against the Utah Utes on Dec. 11.
The final game of the 2020 season will be a crossover game between a team from the other division unless the Buffaloes are able to advance to the Pac-12 Championship Game.
- 7 – UCLA Bruins
- 14 – at Stanford Cardinal
- 21 – Arizona State Sun Devils
- 28 – at USC Trojans
- 5 – at Arizona Wildcats
- 11 – Utah Utes
- 18 – To Be Determined
Pac-12 Championship Betting Odds
The Pac-12 Conference is hoping to have a team eligible for the College Football Playoff this season, but the shortened schedule will create some issues. There are two teams that clearly stand out from the rest of the field, and the conference is hoping that these teams are able to run the table in conference play.
Here is a look at the current odds to win the Pac-12 Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook:
- Oregon +200
- USC +200
- Washington +500
- Utah +700
- Arizona State +1000
- Washington State +1600
- UCLA +2500
- Arizona +5000
- California +5000
- Stanford +5000
- Colorado +10000
