Gamble Colorado

Gamblers across The Centennial State are keen to get back into the state’s casinos. Many have closed due to the pandemic, but Colorado casinos have been slowly opening their doors again to players.

Casinos across the United States are in somewhat of a muddle. Regular visitors to Casino floors who enjoy playing their favorite games have had to switch their attention to mobile sports betting during the last year or so. In Colorado and across the country, casinos are preparing themselves for the worst-case scenario and the possibility of having to shut down again.

That would be a disaster for casinos across the state if they were forced to close the doors as they did in March last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A year later, casinos in Colorado are in a similar situation. The live status for gambling towns and counties in Colorado could change at very short notice.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is responsible for the final decision. They base their decisions on current data regarding infections and possible surges, which could lead to casinos having to close again. In November, the CPDHE and the state implemented a new classification dial for the state’s counties. The Colorado Gaming Association (CGA) has been working closely with local health authorities, believes there is finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Indeed, residents of the Centennial State are asking are casinos open in Colorado? Is Ameristar Casino open? Are Boulder CO casinos open? Additionally, if some are shut, they want to know when is the reopening date. Players want to know when Central City casinos open and when Blackhawk casinos open.

Century Casino, Colorado

This page will update with the latest open casinos in Colorado following the latest public health information. We have broken down the latest news on Colorado casinos by county below.

Teller County, Colorado

The excellent news is casinos in Cripple Creek are open. Unlike the casinos in Gilpin County, Cripple Creek casinos have a lack of table games since they were able to reopen in September. There were fears recently that casinos in Teller would again close, but those fears were allayed, and they were allowed to remain open. County public health officials have stated the Teller County Fair can go ahead in July, so the outlook for casinos looks positive as more people can get together and congregate.

However, although they are currently open, there are casino restrictions in place. These include an occupancy limit to no more than 50 people in any room and room, or you cannot exceed 25% of a room’s maximum occupancy, whichever is less.

From February 18 onwards, Cripple Creek casinos were able to bring table games back. One of the factors that brings hope and enthusiasm for the future of the casino industry is the success of the Vaccine rollout. Most of the general population could have received a COVID-19 vaccine by the spring or summer of 2021.

This has led to positive messages emerging from Colorado’s Gaming Commission, as there is now an end date in sight.
