Betfred Announce 2nd Sportsbook & Betting Lounge
Most sports betting operators are still careful with the introduction of new features for gamblers. The harsh period behind us is keeping a lot of them reserved while waiting for better days in the future.
However, one of the top sportsbook operators, Betfred, doesn’t share this opinion. It has just uncovered the second sportsbook in the US, based at Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado. The operator is also planning to launch the NFL betting lounge outside of the Denver Broncos’ stadium.
Betfred USA Sports and the Denver Broncos have closed a multi-year sponsorship agreement, which will see the operator opening a betting lounge outside of Empower Field at Mile High. The deal will also allow the brand to take advantage of media marketing activities and stadium signage.
More About Sportsbook Option
Betfred’s decision to launch the Colorado sportsbook is made at the same time as the reopening of Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk after the temporary closure. The sportsbook can greet customers after the venue received approval to resume its activities while implementing health and safety measures.
Speaking on the sportsbook introduction, COO of Betfred US Sports, Bryan Bennett said that casinos need to be aggressive while entering the Colorado market. For this reason, they decided to introduce a high-quality sportsbook option as well as to sign a sponsorship deal with the Denver Broncos.
Operator’s Extension in the US
Betfred has signed an agreement with Saratoga Casino Black Hawk in January 2020, which allowed the brand to become the retail and online sportsbook supplier for the casino. The opening of the sportsbook was planned for the later date having taken into consideration that sportsbetting was not allowed before May 1, 2020.
As part of the sportsbook launch, Betfred will further extend its reach in the US territory while introducing its sportsbook option at Iowa’s Grand Falls Casino in January. According to Bennett’s statement, the operator will activate sportsbook options in four states until the end of the year.
Betfred also signed an agreement with Wind Creek Casino and Resort Bethlehem in Pennsylvania. The deal will allow Betfred to conduct its sportsbook activities at the casino as well as to introduce mobile and online betting all around the state. The deal still waits for approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Reopening of Sports Betting Activities in Colorado
The Colorado regulators approved sports betting last summer, with the sports betting bill passed by 20,000 votes, after more than 1.3 million citizens participated in the vote.
At the moment, the state of Colorado is the home of some of the leading betting operators in the country, including DraftKings, Fox Bet, and FanDuel. One of them, FanDuel, has recently reached a deal with Denver Broncos which will allow the operator to take advantage of NFL brand for advertising activities across Colorado.
It is also worth mentioning that May brought a lot of benefits for Colorado’s six sportsbooks operators, which generated $25.5m in handle despite the lack of sports events. Reports are suggesting that legal sports betting in Colorado could record $6bn in annual wagers, $400m in gross gaming income, and $40m in tax revenue when sports return back to normal in the state.
